When It Hits Home

This multimedia project seeks to honor and support the experiences of mothers whose children have been victims police violence.

I am launching this project in Michigan and will begin publishing in 2026.

• As of Apr. 2026, I have wrapped up filming for the film components centering three Michigan mothers. I am now in the process of editing photo and video, with at least one final product ready to launch by the end of the month!
• As of Oct. 2025, I’m in the research and outreach stage of reporting; I am actively looking for family members, local activist/advocacy groups, and community partners to connect with.
